A Spawn wave is when around eleven enemies come from the same gate. Either a randomly in little groups of one to three, or in the things that i call spawn waves. Now, the spawn waves.i'll be honest, i have 0 idea how the spawns actually work, but in my experience of playing, most enemies appear in one of two ways. You may be able to buy the third, but you'll need to be REALLY lucky for that, so after getting the bullets i normally just upgrade my gun for better DPS. Its honestly 100% dependent on luck, and that's because of the imps. However, beating the third level(cementery) without the second bullet upgrade is horrible. The first bullet upgrade is not really 100% important for the second level(the forest), but without it you'll need good RNG in the spawn waves(i'll talk about that in a bit) so prioritizes it. You cant really waste coins in an upgrade either, since if you arent lucky, you may not even get the 45 you need for the first both bullet upgrades, much less for anything else. The in-game luck doesnt affect the game(like.the luck from stardew doesnt affect prairie), so you'll probably need to retry a couple of times even if you are really good at the game. A big part of the game is RNG(basically, good luck). It is a necessity for the achievement of 0 deaths tho.īasically, try to learn where to be(corners can lead to deathtraps), which enemies to kill(you dont want to always shoot at whats closer to you), and when and where to move(sometimes its better to wait a little bit before simply running away). This is mostly practice i'd say, but i want to make clear that you should probably focus on learning how to position if you are planning on winning. If you have a good position, and know how to mantain it, you'll probably win without much problem. Im not a scientist, i just played the game and really liked it.ĭefinitely the most important part of the game is positioning. Just know that, what i write comes from someone who spent a couple of hours playing the game because a friend wanted me to help her 100% the game. I havent seen a lot of guides for Journey, and the ones i saw didnt help me get that much better at the minigame, so i decided to try and do my own. Maybe it was IRL luck and you can only beat it through repetition and the grace of the RNG, but those things worked for me.Announcing user flair and prestige flair! But I was seriously swimming in money, extra lives, and upgrades on high luck day when I finally beat it. I beat the game with those and nothing else.Īlso, I know the wiki says the drops aren't affected by luck. Best upgrade order is weapon damage>firing speed>weapon damage>weapon damage Spam powerups, but try not to keep the bullshit ones like coffee in your inventory. Partially because of all the practice and partially the powerups. I just beat it yesterday after probably a collective few hours of trying, but when I finally did it was actually kind of easy. The powerups are the key, and you get a stupid amount of powerups on days when the spirits are greatly pleased. I did it on xbox, and I have to say I think I'd be more comfortable with a controller than a keyboard. Announcing user flair and prestige flair!
